Through the VA Community Care Program (CCP), TriCare and 1 Method Center work together to give eligible veterans—including those honorably discharged or non-retired—access to top-tier addiction and mental health care. Veterans often receive these services at little to no out-of-pocket cost once approved by the VA and TriCare.
This partnership simplifies access to care by removing administrative barriers and minimizing delays commonly found in the VA system. With the VA and TriCare managing referral and authorization logistics, veterans are connected quickly to personalized treatment in a luxury setting designed for confidentiality and healing.
The Community Care Program allows veterans to receive care from outside providers like 1 Method Center when the VA cannot provide timely or adequate treatment. This includes cases where services are unavailable locally or the VA’s wait times are too long, especially for specialized addiction or trauma care.
Once eligibility is confirmed, the VA coordinates with TriCare to authorize treatment. Upon approval, the veteran retains full VA coverage for a range of services—such as detox, inpatient rehab, therapy, and dual diagnosis care—delivered by TriCare-approved private providers like 1 Method Center in Los Angeles.
TriCare supports a full continuum of addiction care at 1 Method Center. Services are tailored to meet each veteran’s clinical and emotional needs. From early detox to advanced therapy and outpatient support, veterans receive structured treatment backed by medical and psychiatric oversight in a boutique setting.
Veterans face unique mental health and emotional challenges. 1 Method Center addresses these with veteran-informed programming, a trauma-sensitive approach, and a peaceful setting. Each veteran receives personalized treatment aligned with their military background and clinical needs.
With a low client-to-staff ratio, every veteran is supported through one-on-one sessions, trauma therapies, fitness planning, and recovery coaching. Clinical teams use evidence-based tools like CBT and EMDR, with the added benefit of holistic care, in a discreet, luxury environment that promotes lasting change.
Veterans from anywhere in the U.S. may qualify to receive treatment at 1 Method’s Los Angeles facility through the Community Care Program. The VA determines eligibility when local options are unavailable or not clinically appropriate. TriCare then authorizes services through the approved CCP pathway.
1 Method’s admissions team works directly with VA caseworkers and TriCare representatives. If travel is required, the facility can assist with authorizations. This ensures veterans are not limited by geography when it comes to accessing the specialized care they deserve.
Many veterans struggle with addiction that overlaps with trauma, depression, or anxiety. At 1 Method Center, these issues are treated together through a unified clinical model. This ensures deeper healing and reduces relapse risks by addressing root causes alongside substance use.
Each veteran undergoes a full psychiatric assessment. Treatment plans are created by a team that includes a psychiatrist, trauma therapist, and addiction counselor. Services are personalized and may include EMDR, neurofeedback, and medication management—designed to support physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
Your VA provider is your starting point. Discuss your needs openly and request a referral to 1 Method Center under the VA’s Community Care Program. Make sure your provider understands your clinical goals and the specific services offered by 1 Method that may not be available within the VA system.
Once the VA agrees that 1 Method Center is clinically appropriate and no nearby VA option can meet your needs, they will issue a referral. TriCare and the VA will jointly authorize your treatment under the CCP. This includes verifying medical necessity and determining which services are covered in your care plan.
After authorization, the admissions team at 1 Method manages everything—from verifying TriCare benefits to scheduling your intake. They handle paperwork, VA coordination, and travel documentation if needed. You’re free to focus on recovery while their staff navigates the process on your behalf.
Located in Cheviot Hills, 1 Method Center offers a private, residential environment where healing happens in comfort and privacy. The facility houses only a few clients at a time, ensuring that each veteran receives personal attention and a tailored plan built around their recovery and reintegration goals.
