Carrara offers a wide range of evidence-based and holistic therapies tailored to military clients. Treatment is never one-size-fits-all. Each patient undergoes a clinical assessment upon admission to determine the right mix of therapies for their physical, emotional, and psychological recovery.
Veterans benefit from having access to both traditional therapy and alternative modalities. The integration of these tools increases resilience, reduces relapse risk, and promotes whole-person healing in an environment specifically built to honor service and support recovery.
While most veterans receiving care through the VA Community Care Network at Carrara do not pay out of pocket, some military families—particularly dependents or retirees under TRICARE—may be responsible for co-payments depending on their plan type. It’s important to understand how costs are structured before admission.
TriWest works closely with Carrara to verify each patient’s benefits, including whether authorization has been granted by the VA or if the case falls under TRICARE Prime, TRICARE Select, or another category. Carrara’s financial team then communicates with the patient or their family to ensure full clarity around any cost-sharing obligations. In most VA-approved inpatient cases, care is fully covered. For TRICARE dependents, co-pays typically range from modest daily charges to a fixed percentage of care, based on the plan.
Understanding financial obligations up front is essential—and Carrara makes sure every family knows exactly what to expect.
At its heart, the collaboration between TriWest and Carrara Treatment represents a renewed commitment to those who have served—and to the families who have supported them. Substance use disorders affect not just the individual, but spouses, children, and entire households. This partnership ensures that quality care is available, accessible, and tailored to the unique challenges military life presents.
Military families often face chronic stress, long-term separations, trauma, and reintegration issues. Carrara’s model of care is built to address all of that—offering therapies that support healing from both chemical dependency and emotional wounds. The luxury rehab setting helps remove stigma and resistance to treatment, making recovery feel like a privilege rather than a punishment. Meanwhile, TriWest removes the barriers to care by funding services that might otherwise be out of reach.
For families ready to make a change, the path forward is clearer than ever. The TriWest–Carrara partnership ensures you don’t have to do it alone.
